A Day in the Life of Avi

This week, we had the privilege of interviewing one of our best Rehab Management consultants, Avi Singh. In this interview, Avi explored his usual day-to-day life as a consultant, travelling and engaging with employees and clients whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance through his passion for long distance running.

Avi varies between working from home and going into the office, he explains “Rehab Management provides a great sense of flexibility for working at home. I also spend a fair bit of time on the road travelling and attending appointments.”

Avi further explores his daily routine, “starting the morning off reviewing all my files, emails, reviewing any paperwork and acting on what needs to be done. In the morning I may attend a worksite assessment, this can vary from being in a warehouse or being in the field. For example, I could be at a mine site.

Following on from this I will usually go back to the office and complete all the forms that are required and communicate this with all other stakeholders. In general, my first two hours in the morning is a bit of admin work, then I head out for a few hours and come back to finish off some work at the office to tie everything up.”

Avi then discusses his travel for work, “Occasionally, about once or twice a month I will travel over long distances. For example, I have been out to Moomba, Gladstone and Bundy to engage with different stakeholders out there.”

Avi also travels a fair way a few days each week to get to his office from home, “from home it can take me up to an hour to get to work,” Avi explains, his office is in the inner city of Brisbane.

Outside of work, Avi explains that he is dedicated to long distance running. “I am a very passionate long-distance runner, so I do travel early in the morning if I am going into the office. I get to the office around 4:30am and I will do about an hour to a 90-minute jog. Once I have finished work in the afternoon I will usually train for another hour, once I am home.”

It was a pleasure speaking with Avi and hearing his very interesting, daily life working with us as a consultant. Thank you so much Avi for taking the time out of your busy day to speak with us and share a little bit of your story!
