AFR BOSS Most Innovative Health Company 2020

We are so excited to announce that Arriba Group has ranked #1 Most Innovative Health Company in Australia and New Zealand for 2020 by The Australian Financial Review BOSS Most Innovative Companies.

Our Digital Wellness Platform was the winner of the Best Health Industries Innovation for 2020. The platform includes a series of programs and tools to help people manage their mental and physical health. The programs are designed to cover the continuum of care – from early intervention to ongoing rehabilitation – helping people return to good health using an evidence-based, personalised approach. Empowering individuals to choose to be a part of their recovery journey.

The platform includes two key programs:

  • CheckInToday, a digital program designed to pick up and address mental health issues early.
  • StepUpToday, an app that delivers tailored rehabilitation programs to help people who are experiencing mental or physical illness get back to work.

CheckInToday is a digital application that uses an evidence-based standardised assessment questionnaire to inform the design of a tailored mental health program for participants. It is designed to be simple to use and covers a range of wellbeing support across physical and mental health, lifestyle, work, and study. Participants may be provided with psychological support, or a tailored physical exercise program according to their goals. The results from the screening tool are used to determine the amount of coaching or training the user needs, and to develop an appropriate tailored program.  CheckInToday has seen the average wellbeing score of its users increase by 30 per cent.

StepUpToday is a goal-setting program that aims to improve individual’s independence through everyday activities. It is an intervention support program designed to utilise participants’ everyday activities to improve their function. Participants create meaningful, tailored goals around their day-to-day life, with the online system connecting them to healthcare professionals and a range of resources for self-directed learning, covering everything from sleep hygiene to mental health tips and resources for home support. Through using the app, 86 per cent of participants have achieved their ‘return to work’ or ‘return to life‘ goals, and overall there has been a reduction in rehab duration and improved new employer RTW outcomes.

Being innovation-driven is one of our core values – we challenge and disrupt to drive purpose-driven innovation for our clients. The success of our Digital Wellness Program is testament to the emphasis and passion we have for innovation as a company.

“This is the ultimate for us. It’s a rewarding feeling to be acknowledged for our hard work, right across the business. We lead from the top, but it goes all the way down. We’re very passionate about innovation.”
