Supporting Corporate Health at Transurban

Today’s changing landscape of a ‘work’ environment can create challenges for organisations in looking after employee health and safety, whereby a large percentage of the workforce split between working from home and working in an office. Good ergonomics are key in ensuring employees have a safe and well set up working area, which is proven to improve employee loyalty and satisfaction.

A business we have had a successful relationship delivering Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) services for Transurban.

Transurban is a road operator company that manages and develops urban toll road networks in Australia. Rehab Management have been supporting Transurban’s HSE culture for the past five years as their preferred workplace rehabilitation provider. Transurban use Rehab Management for a variety of tailored services, including workplace ergonomic assessments, safe ergonomic design and specialised advice and recommendations.

We worked with Transurban in their offices to improve their ergonomics, whereby we were able to design a safe working environment for optimal use and to avoid unnecessary risks and injury. Although ergonomic risk factors differ between offices and type of work, a typical office worker’s fingers, wrists and arms can be affected by bad placement of mouse, keyboard, and chair.

Through conducting ergonomic assessments for their staff, we were able to identify behaviours, posture and equipment used in their working environment and create a tailored plan for their work environment. We were also able to assist in other set ups across the business including relocations, in house education sessions for employees and People Leaders and more.

We asked them about their time with Rehab Management:

“Rehab Management are an exceptional organisation, whereby their advice and support for us could not be possible without their excellent customer service and delivery. A strong sense of trust is provided through knowing that they’re working alongside us to understand out employee’s health and safety needs.

They have provided a well-rounded service for 5 years, but particularly during the pandemic when our employees were working remotely full time. We were concerned with keeping our staff safe during unprecedented times, and Rehab Management were able to create a bespoke solution that met our HSE/WHS requirements. This ensured out staff were safe and fit for work whilst improving their overall mental health and wellbeing through the livery of virtual ergonomic assessments

I would strongly recommend Rehab Management if you are looking for a company that provides specific tailored advice and solutions to ergonomic concerns for the workplace and staff, that can back up their advice with exceptional customer service, attention and delivery.”
