Rehab Management has over 20 years’ experience delivering a range of tailored assessments. We boast 100% customer service standard compliance and focus on early intervention as key to rapid recovery. Assessments can be delivered as one-off or offered as part of a return to work program.


Workplace Assessment
A specialised onsite assessments of an individual’s duties and/or potential suitable duties, including assessment of the physical, psychological and cognitive demands of the job.


Initial Assessment
A face-to-face assessment undertaken to explore the background to the injury, current symptoms, treatment and prognosis, psychosocial factors; employment history, and the exploration of return to work options.


Medical Case Conference
A meeting held with the treating doctor, injured person and Rehab Management Consultant to discuss the individual’s symptoms, progress with treatment, work capacity and return to work plan. Medical upgrades or opinion on vocational options may also be explored.


Functional Capacity Assessment
Use of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools to evaluate an injured person’s abilities and limitations against identified work related criteria. Conducted at one of Rehab Management’s national offices or at the workplace.


Vocational Assessment
A face-to-face interview to examine an injured person’s transferable skills to identify appropriate vocational options, taking into consideration their work capacity and potential remuneration. Assessment can include labour market analysis if required.


Labour Market Analysis
Desktop research undertaken to determine the functional requirements of a position, likely remuneration, training and education level required and local labour market opportunities. May be completed as part of a vocational assessment or as a stand-alone report.


Transferable Skills Analysis
An assessment to explore an injured person’s education, training and work history to identify skills transferable to alternate positions within their work capacity.


Earning Capacity Assessment
A combined Functional Assessment and Vocational Assessment. Suitable vocational options are presented against the individual’s capacity identified during the Functional Assessment.


ADL Assessment
An assessment undertaken at the individual’s residence to determine their ability to undertake personal and household activities of daily living.


Ergonomic Assessment
An assessment to evaluate an individual’s workstation set-up in relation to sustained and prolonged positioning. Recommendations for equipment may be made if appropriate and education is provided.


RMRapidStart Assessment
The assessment is a ‘quick assessment’ conducted within 24-48 hours of receipt of referral.


Job Task Analysis
This assessment breaks down a job into its individual components to identify the key demands of the job.


Psychological Assessment
An assessment to clarify an injured worker’s psychological symptoms and the impact on their return to work. Recommendations are made that may assist in overcoming barriers in returning to work.


Work trial (single service)
A suitable host employer is sourced, work trial program developed and program monitored to completion. Goal is to establish work capacity through completion of job role with host employer.
