A Day in the life of Jessica

After a decade in pharmacy and a degree in Exercise Physiology, Jessica found her calling in occupational rehabilitation. Her passion for preventative health and helping people live well naturally led her to this field, where she quickly discovered the powerful link between meaningful work and good health.

Jessica’s days are anything but predictable. As Acting Area Manager in Townsville, she balances supporting clients and customers with motivating her team and collaborating with other managers. Whether she’s reviewing KPIs, catching up with colleagues, or guiding her team through challenges, Jessica thrives on the variety and flexibility her role offers. The office is always lively, with plenty of banter and the occasional friendly prank to keep spirits high.

Outside of work, Jessica is known for her love of fishing and spearfishing — if there’s water, a boat, and the chance to catch something, she’s there. Her enthusiasm for boats and fishing is well-known among her team, and she’s not shy about considering boat upgrades and fish PBs as valid KPIs.

One of Jessica’s most memorable moments was supporting a client through a medical separation from their role. Facing significant mental and physical health challenges, the client was referred to Jessica for support. Together, they worked through barriers and built a plan that aligned with the client’s strengths and goals. The client went on to complete a degree in Social Work and is now working part-time in the field while pursuing a PhD. For Jessica, seeing someone move from uncertainty to thriving in a career that helps others is a powerful reminder of why she loves her work.
Jessica’s story is a testament to the impact that dedicated professionals can have on people’s lives.
