A Day in the Life of Lee

This week, we had the privilege of interviewing Lee Jurasovic, one of our Registered Psychologist at Rehab Management. Lee shared with us the details of their typical daily routine, their responsibilities, and the motivation behind their career.

Lee’s day kicks off with a cup of coffee, setting the tone for a busy day. Their day-to-day tasks vary depending on the given day, but it typically involves traveling to Wollongong and Nowra to meet with veterans, report writing, engaging in face-to-face client consultations for initial psychological assessments, and facilitating meetings with clients in their workplace or with their GP or psychiatrist. These meetings help Lee to ensure that all aspects of Lee’s clients well-being and needs are being considered in their journey towards recovery.

Lee enjoys connecting with colleagues during lunch or coffee breaks and manages communication through phone calls and emails with various people, ensuring a well-balanced and productive day.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of Lee’s role is the diversity of people they interact with, each with unique experiences and challenges, ranging from one-off incidents to chronic pain and chronic physical injury impacts. This variety of interactions keeps Lee engaged and motivated, as Lee navigates through different clients’ needs and challenges.

When asked about the most rewarding part of Lee’s role, they explained “when I support people in very practical and flexible ways to regain their health and help them make progress towards achieving their life goals and the outcomes they want.”

Lee recounted a recent success story where they played a pivotal role in helping a client return to their pre-injury role. “It’s great to have been part of helping turn her life around from a very stressful daily experience to something positive and healthy,” Lee explains with enthusiasm. This success story serves as a testament to the significant impact Lee has had on the lives of their clients.

We thank Lee for taking the time out of their busy schedule to let us interview them!
