A Day in the Life of Tracy
Firstly, let’s start off by finding out what an average day looks like for you?
No such thing. Team support, meetings, getting out to meet clients and customers. Assessments, reports, coaching, the list goes on…
Why did you choose to work in this industry?
It chose me – we wanted to move from Queensland to a more sensible climate, so I interviewed for a couple of rehabilitation roles in Hobart, not really entirely sure of the role and industry or how an exercise physiologist fits into it, and now I have never looked back!
What do you love most about your role?
There is never a dull day! So much variety and so many different stories. I work with great people and love this company. I am constantly being challenged to grow.
Can you recall a time when you helped make a difference to someone’s life?
I try with every interaction. A client I still have the honour of supporting, is currently experiencing significant ongoing physical symptoms following an injury suffered in 2022. We have worked closely together over the last 4 years, maintaining and optimising her functional physical status, with this woman maintaining full work capacity outside of every procedure she has had to endure! I am inspired every day by her integrity and grit and many members of my team have had the good fortune of meeting her through our various services provided – all following and supporting her journey with me.
Fun fact about Tracy
I love cooking and baking for friends and family and I love nothing more than a good single malt in front of the fire with my husband and dogs!
