Finalists for Veteran Support Program of the Year

As a nationally accredited Comcare provider, Rehab Management has seen great success working with the Australia Defence Force, Department of Veteran’s Affairs and Department of Defence. Through the strong relationship our consultants have with the serving men and women of our country, they are uniquely qualified in understanding the culture, prevalent injuries and illnesses, and assisting veterans transitioning out of service and/or into new career opportunities post service.

Our bespoke Veteran Support Program has just been announced as a finalist in the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2020, nominated in the Veteran Support Program of the Year. We are proud of this achievement, as our services we offer to Veterans is a highlight in working as rehabilitation consultants.

Our philosophy for veteran support can be summarised as whole-person rehabilitation through expert health providers for physical and psychological conditions, psycho-social vocational services, medical management, and wellbeing and support services. As being ‘people–centred’ is one of Rehab Management’s corporate values, this is an example of our values in action – collaborating to help others towards better outcomes. Some of the innovative tools our consultants use to manage mental health and physical health issues for veterans include CheckInToday, StepUpToday, RmScreens and My Journey – A bespoke veteran-focused wellbeing coaching and training program.

Taylor Melville, Rehab Management’s Department of Veteran Affairs Acting Client Relations Manager, speaks to her experience in supporting veterans at Rehab Management.

“The benefit of our role is being able to support the serving men and women of our country. We want to repay the service by providing opportunities for a meaningful and connected lifestyle once they return to civilian life.”
