A Day in the Life of Michelle

This week, we had the pleasure of interviewing Michelle Brett, one of our Senior Rehabilitation Consultants based in Liverpool, NSW. Michelle took the time to share with us why she chose to work in the industry and what a typical day in her role looks like.

When asked why she chose to work in the industry, Michelle explained that her initial interest was sparked by the high demand for Rehab Consultants. However, she quickly found deeper motivations to stay in the field. Michelle highlighted that she continues to work as a rehabilitation consultant because she enjoys the work-life balance and camaraderie within her high-performing team. She added that what she loves most about her role is the flexibility it offers for a healthy work-life balance, coupled with the supportive team environment.

Describing an average day in her role, Michelle mentioned that each day starts with a cup of coffee, which sets the tone for the busy day ahead. Her mornings are filled with administrative tasks, including preparation and follow-up from previous meetings. Throughout the day, she attends numerous meetings, conducts assessments for her clients, and engages in productive discussions with her team.

Michelle also reflected on a specific instance where she made a significant difference in her work. She recounted helping a client who was struggling with the complexities of the workers’ compensation process, particularly in coordinating with various stakeholders. The client praised Michelle for her efforts, stating that Michelle’s regular updates to all parties involved made the process smoother and significantly reduced her stress. Thanks to Michelle’s support, the client successfully returned to her pre-injury duties and has maintained this position, as confirmed by the durability check.

We thank Michelle for taking the time out of her busy schedule to let us interview her, providing a valuable insight into the meaningful work carried out by Rehab Management.
